Quinoa and organic quinoa
Quinoa is considered a superfood because it contains high quality proteins; besides it helps to keep healthy and fit as it’s a good source of dietary fibers, vitamins and minerals such as C, E, B, iron, phosphorus and magnesium. Quinoa is naturally gluten free. It’s very easy to prepare: Rinse the Quinoa under cold running water. In a saucepan bring to boil a quantity of water that is the double the quinoa (for instance 2 cups of water for 1 cup of quinoa). Alternatively you can use broth instead of water. Add the Quinoa and simmer for 15 minutes on a low heat in a pan. Stir from time to time. Quinoa is ready when the seeds become transparent. Turn heat down and let it sit for another 5 minutes with the pan covered. Drain if necessary. Serve as a side dish (chilled or hot). Alternatively add quinoa to soup or to salads.
